Going beyond being trauma-informed on an individual level to understanding the impact trauma has on communities, this website provides free curricula, syllabi, and reading material for teachers, instructors, and study groups interested in fostering healing from collective trauma.

The Collective Trauma and Healing Project is an all-volunteer team of educators, psychologists, sociologists and social justice professionals. The resources we create and collect are freely available to all who share our commitment to addressing causes, consequences, and responses to collective trauma. We welcome new collaborations and opportunities to share ideas.

Trauma is a broad term used to describe emotional and physical stresses resulting from violent and seriously disruptive life experiences.

Collective trauma recognizes that experiences of violence and disruption often impact groups or populations – and not simply unfortunate individuals. These experiences may lead to long-term health and social challenges at both individual and community levels. Attention to collective trauma is a useful addition to the individual focus characteristic of many medical, social service, educational, and correctional settings.

The Collective Trauma and Healing LinkedIn group is a welcoming space to share research, news, upcoming events, reflections on using the Collective Trauma and Healing Curriculum, and more. Join our online LinkedIn community here: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/16093074/
